Red Pepper Perspective

Oil on gessoed masonite, 8” X 8”, $125.

Many times I second guess myself into a tizzy, but this time I couldn’t be happier with the composition.

Winter soups call for spicy ingredients.  Look for more peppers getting their chance at immortality before they are chopped and simmered.

Unfolding Story

Oil on gallery wrapped canvas.  Each panel of this triptych is 8'” X 48”.  When hung as shown the total measures approximately 2’ X 4’. $1,000.

Photographing this was an adventure.  Please pardon my slightly sloppy cropping job that shows at the top.  The sides are painted black.  We thought about adding a second photo that shows the sides but that would have involved demolition of a wall and a possible divorce.

Brave Pear

Approx. 8” X 8” oil on gessoed masonite.  $75

Digital StillCamera

This backlit pear was a challenge.  I’m forcing myself to try a few different things.  Fun, but scary.

I have had such a hard time getting back in the studio.  I feel the urge to work on more fruits and vegetables.  I’ve been dreaming of lemons and peppers again.

I'm too old and too mean....

I had an email from an art scammer. Well, not really an art scammer, just some cockroach using artworks as a vehicle to get unsuspecting people to part with their money.

Do not fall for an offer to buy your work from someone calling themselves Crystal Moll from New Jersey.

I exchanged emails, explaining I would be glad to ship as soon as they put $$ in my PayPal account or sent me a certified check. Then I got an email from their "shipping agent". I was bored with the game by then and just sent them back the above link.

The whole thing smacked of Nigerian scam. Their game is to send you a worthless check for much too much money and get you to send them back the overage...before you realize their check is rubber.

It's a dog eat dog world out there. Don't get caught wearing Milkbone underwear.

(Man, I loved "Cheers".)

Perched

8" X 10" oil on gessoed masonite.  SOLD.

This simple painting is the first in what I hope is a series of birds on wires.  I'm drawn to the simple composition and, well I like to look at birds.  Then there is that cloud thing going on.

Showdown

I guess that's the feeling you get after all the excitement of a show is over?

I had a great time.  Many friends came out to support me and I sold a painting.  I am doing a couple of private showings this next week.
