Progress!

We spent several hours at Carl's house yesterday hanging more pieces, eating, admiring his work downstairs and sitting at his wonderful bar.

Our photographs did not turn out as well as we had hoped.  I think we need to reshoot.

I would like to share one shot of "Fissure in the Earth" that we hung at the bottom of the stairs in Carl's auxillary backup kitchen.  It looks grand next to the slate wall and the slate counter tops.

I really like the look of that painting, Mean Jean. I can almost feel the stone texture.

Tell me, please: is it the lighting in the room that darkens the painting at the bottom, or is that the painting itself, or is it both working together?

This painting is very dark at the bottom. It may appear slightly darker in the picture but not much. The dimensions are approx. 38-40" X 12". I need to post the exact dimensions but I can't put my hands on that info at the moment. Thank you kindly for stopping by.

Man oh man. Carl's house makes a wonderful gallery!

This house was soooo 1960's when he bought it. The downstairs was a big empty area that the previous owners had never used. He has a small kitchen, media room, bar, sitting area w/fireplace, "gallery" as you turn the corner and guest room w/bath. He has finished it out with Ikea and Craigslist.
