Blue Glass on White

5" X 5" oil on gessoed masonite, unframed. Private Collection.

Paint what you see, that's the mantra while painting objects that seem difficult to capture. Disengage the "should" part of your thinking and look.

This little piece of art glass has been sitting around here for weeks. I was planning to paint a trio of glass objects but decided to let this one solo.

I really like this painting. I'm a big fan of glass and material and you've captured it wonderfully.

That means a lot coming from you! Those raindrops you did on the leaves are a gorgeous example of reflective surface painting.
