Peanut Butter and Jelly #1

6" X 6" oil on gessoed masonite, unframed $80.

It was a good painting weekend.  After a few days of working on other things I got busy.  This is the first of what I hope is a series of PBJ's.  I paint 'em, then we eat 'em.

Thanks. This is a subject matter I want to keep coming back to. I think it was my first stab at using a white object on a white background. Next time whole wheat bread with strawberry jam?

I love this subject. Have you seen Michael Naples's paintings? He's got ten pb & j paintings... #10 looks the yummiest.

Ah, Michael is the one who's work inspired me to try this. I've GOT to do another one.
